Myrto Loulaki was born in Athens in 1985.

She was involved in musical activities at an early stage with the Orff system. At the age of 12 she began the flute while continuing the recorder. At the same age she became a member of the Greek Radio Children’s choir. In 1997 she gave her "debut" while  chosen to sing Ave Maria (Bach-Gounod) with the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra at their Christmas Concert at Pallas concert Hall in Athens.

In 1999 continuing the flute, recorder and theory studies she started the piano. She was active member at the International Kodaly seminars in Hungary’s Kecskemet in 1999 and in 2001.

Myrto holds a Harmony Degree (from the Greek Kodaly Conservatory and Institute), BMus in Performance (from Kingston University) and MA in Choral Education (from Roehampton Universtiy).

She has sung and played as a soloist in numerous concerts and she has won prizes in competitions. She is currently singing with the BBC Symphony Chorus. Among her major experiences are Dido and Aeneas, Purcell (as Dido, with the Roehampton Chamber Singers at Hampton Court) and Amahl and the Night Visitors, Menotti (as Amahl’s mother, with the RCS at Barnes Methodist Church), Epicycle, Christou (as per-singer with Andriana Minou, at Goldsmiths Uni.), and We Hardly Met Once (with Andriana Minou and Gregory Emfietzis, at Barnes Methodist Church and Matey's Dance School in Athens). Myrto has recently co-founded the Metapraxis Ensemble.

Apart from all that, Myrto loves exploring and decomposing the meaning of musical performance!..The theatricality and poetry of it are among her main aims...
